President of Operation Enduring Warrior

Troy Warshel is the President of Operation Enduring Warrior. OEW is a veteran-founded non‐profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to honor, empower, and motivate our nation's wounded military and law enforcement veterans through physical, mental, and emotional rehabilitation.

Troy comes to OEW after a 20 year career in the Marine Corps where he served as an F/A-18 Hornet pilot and a Forward Air Controller. He saw combat action in Iraq as a Forward Air Controller with Task Force Tarawa in An Nasiriyah, Al Kut, and Ad Diwaniyah. Upon his return from Iraq, he reported to Headquarters Marine Corps where he oversaw the $700 Million Marine Corps Aviation Programs budget. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he became a contractor for the Army where he managed the $1.8 Billion budget for the Army’s Counter Improvised Explosive Device and Explosive Ordnance Disposal agency.

Currently, he is works for the Air Force as the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Operational Energy. His office focuses on developing and implementing energy efficient capabilities designed to increase operational reach and reduce risks to warfighters. He joined OEW as OCA in 2016 and has served as the VP of Finance, Executive Vice President and now the President. He is married to Jodi Warshel, who is also very involved with veteran’s causes with service as a volunteer for the Semper Fi Fund.
